Privacy Policy

RockyHills Photography (“Rocky Hills”, “we”, “us”) is a photography and videography business based in Colorado. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and the choices you have.

We only collect what you give us, plus a small amount of technical data needed to keep the site secure:

• Booking forms (shoots and phone consultations): your name, email, phone number, business name, shoot location, the date and time you pick, your preferred call time, and any notes or topics you add.
• Contact form: your name, email, phone number, business name, the service you're interested in, an optional budget range and your message.
• Client accounts and portal: your name, email and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password), plus the messages, project details and photo/video files exchanged through your portal.
• Security data: to prevent spam and abuse we keep a one-way hashed version of your IP address (used for rate limiting and stored with contact messages) and your browser's user-agent string with contact messages.

• To respond to your inquiries and phone consultation requests.
• To schedule, confirm and remind you about appointments (including calendar invites) and to manage cancellations.
• To plan, produce and deliver your photos and videos through your client portal.
• To keep the website secure and protect our forms from spam and abuse.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

We rely on a few trusted providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf only to provide their service:

• Vercel — website hosting.
• Neon — our PostgreSQL database, where form submissions, bookings and account details are stored.
• Cloudflare R2 — storage for photos, videos and other project files.
• Resend — sending emails such as booking confirmations, reminders and account links.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — an anti-spam check on our booking, contact, sign-up and password-reset forms. Cloudflare may process technical information about your browser and device to tell people from bots.
• Chatbase — the chat widget on our public pages. If you use the chat, your messages are processed by Chatbase to generate replies.

We use essential cookies only: when you sign in to the client or team portal, a secure session cookie keeps you logged in. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies. The Chatbase chat widget and Cloudflare Turnstile may use their own storage or cookies needed for them to work.

We keep inquiries, bookings and project records for as long as needed to serve you and meet our business and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing sales@rockyhillsphotos.com. We'll respond promptly and may need to confirm your identity first.

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date below.
